TOT SPOT

The Tot Spot was created and installed to encourage children’s gross motor development. Let your children investigate the world around them using their senses. This area is for children 4 of years of age and younger and offers them a safe place to play, climb, and explore!
Recommended for ages 4 and younger.
OUR TOWN
Our Town exhibit features an H.E.B. Grocery Store teaching children about food, trade, exchange, money, counting skills, and more. Next kids can head over to MobileOil Federal Credit Union. It teaches children about finance, improves counting skills, and teaches children math skills. The Golden Triangle Internal Medicine medical office offer children an environment to teach children about health and wellness. The Children's Dentistry gives children an insight into oral hygiene and tooth care.

MAKE IT APPLAUD
Create your own music or recreate your favorite book at our puppet show while exploring the physics and rhythm of sound.

MAKE IT ROAR
Discover the paleontologist in you! Here you get to excavate and interact with life-size dinosaurs. Uncover the secrets left by our old pals using your hands and other tools to dig up their fossils!

This is an area that allows children to create topography models of waterways in Southeast Texas by shaping sand, which is then augmented in real-time by an elevation color map, topographic contour lines, and simulated water using a 3D digital projector. This exhibit is enjoyed by toddlers to adults with many concepts that can be discussed based on age.
This area also showcases our Neches Riverboat for play.

MAKE IT BEAUTIFUL
Paint, color, cut, and explore the artistic world around you. This area is always changing so be sure to come often to create your next masterpiece!
This area will feature artwork from local artists and has a display area for all of our little BCM artists to display their own work for everyone to see.

MAKE IT STRONG
These Imagination Playground blue blocks allow for child-directed and open-ended play. Children build and design a multitude of different structures while working alongside other children creating strong team-building skills.

MAKE IT LIGHT UP
Our LiteZilla interactive light wall allows children to create pictures and shapes that will light up up their world! Placing the pegs in the holes also helps toddlers develop fine motor skills while they are creating.

Our sensory area offers a variety of sensory-friendly toys and items as well as a communication board to help our non-verbal friends navigate the museum.
