Welcome Your Elf Back from the North Pole!

Bake cinnamon rolls (or another breakfast treat). Place your elf next to the cinnamon rolls and a note saying “Mrs. Clause thought I could use a snack on the trip here! I saved you some though!! ENJOY!”

Night 2
Bathroom Snowmen

Draw a family of snowmen on the bathroom mirror and place your elf next it with the shaving cream can next to it or in its lap. Add the black pompoms to make the snowmen’s eyes and buttons, and the small piece of orange pipe cleaner for their noses.

 

Disclaimer: Draw these snowmen onto the mirror about ten minutes before child wakes to prevent snowmen from melting.

Night 3
Splish-Splash, Your Elf is Taking a Bath!

Place cotton balls into the crock pot, sink, or pot on the stove (do not turn stove on). Put your elf in the pot as if it is relaxing in the bathtub. For added fun, have some of your kid's other toys join your elf!

Night 4
Candy Cane Hunt

Provided are 6 candy canes to hide throughout the house or within your tree. Place elf on counter or table with note provided. You can use a timer if you want or count out loud!

Night 5
Your Elf Wants to Help Decorate

Provided is a gold star with a hook and green streamers attached. Take the star and hang it (careful not to rip streamers). *For the best outcome you may want to hang this over a table, however, anywhere will work. *

Night 6
A Snowman's Chance in Texas

Put out large mixing bowl or casserole dish (preferably glass) and fill about ¾ the way full with water. Place two googly eyes, three black buttons, one small orange pipe cleaner, and two brown pipe cleaners into the dish. Place Your elf and note provided next to the dish.

Night 7
Turn Your Family into Reindeer!

Provided are red pompoms, and glue dots. Put a glue dot on each of the pompoms and place them on pictures throughout the house. Put elf sitting below or next to one of the pictures with pompoms and glue dots in its hands and lap or around it.

 

Disclaimer: DO NOT place glued dots on pictures that are not behind glass or acrylic. If you do not have pictures throughout the house for this antic see the alternate ideas below.

Night 8
Instant Snow

Your elf brought snow from the North Pole! Grab a small bowl or container and put the instant snow into it. Add cold water and watch the elf do his magic!

place on carpet. *

Night  9
Marshmallow Catapult

Build your catapult and put your elf next to it with a small pile of marshmallows. Scatter a few extra marshmallows on the floor or surface in front of them so it looks like your elf was up all night launching marshmallows!

Night 10
Marshmallow Tower

Build a tower using marshmallows and toothpicks. Place some marshmallows, toothpicks, and the provided note next to the elf and the tower.

Night  11
Find the Treats!

Place 10-15 cups on the floor in front of your child’s bedroom door. Put the 5 provided treats (or you can substitute treats of your choice if you would like) under the cups. Put the provided note somewhere your child can see it and put your elf somewhere where it can “watch” your child’s attempts to find the treats.

 

Disclaimer: SOME TREATS MAY HAVE NUTS AND OR PEANUT BUTTER INSIDE THEM!!! *You may want to use plastic or Styrofoam cups in case they get knocked over during the hunt! *

Night 12
Snowstorm in Texas!

Today your elf will create a snowstorm! Using the supplies provided follow the steps below. 

Supplies Included:
 

  • Blue food coloring

  • Alka-Seltzer tablets (break into pieces)

  • Glitter

Supplies Needed:
 

  • Clear cup or small jar

  • Vegetable oil or baby oil

  • Baking pan (optional)

  1. Fill up ¼ of the jar/cup with water.

  2. Add blue food coloring (as much as you want) and mix.

  3. Add glitter.

  4. Fill up the rest of the jar/cup with vegetable oil/baby oil. Let the water mixture settle to the bottom.

  5. Drop the pieces of the Alka-Seltzer tablet into the jar one at a time.

  6. Watch the snowstorm happen!

Disclaimer: This could overflow so you may want to put it on a baking pan or other type of dish.

Night  13
Need a Nightlight?

Provided are glow sticks (1 for head, 1 for body, 2 for legs, and 2 for arms) and small rubber bands. Place the glow sticks accordingly and attach them to your elf with the rubber bands. Place elf in your child’s room before you go to bed or in the morning before your child wakes up.

 

Disclaimer: Glow sticks will only stay lit for up to 6 hours.

Night 14
Snow Sprinkle Angel

Place provided sprinkles on the counter or table (you may want to put them inside a baking pan or casserole dish for easier clean up and to avoid possible staining on light colored surfaces) and spread them out. Put your elf in the sprinkles and move its arms and legs to make a “snow angel” in the sprinkles.

Clean Up Please!

Need your kid to clean their room? Put the provided band-aids on your elf however you’d like along with one of the provided notes.

Slinky Shenanigans

Wrap your elf up in the provided slinky and hang it somewhere within the house (the stairs, fireplace, doorway your child will walk through, etc.) with the provided note.

Night  17
Bow Climb

Take the 8 provided bows, peel the backing off and stick them to a window/wall/etc. Place the bows diagonally from each other going upwards, like a rock-climbing wall, then adjust your elf on the bows so it looks like it is climbing up them.

Night 18
"Gift" Wrapping Gone Wrong!

Wrap items in your house with wrapping paper (pillows, candles, toys, books, toothbrush, etc.), the sillier the better! Put your elf out with scissors, tape, wrapping paper roll or scraps, and the provided note.

Night 19
Festive Toilet Paper

Replace the toilet paper roll in the bathroom your child uses with the roll provided and roll it out until you come to the end of the stenciled pieces. Put your elf on the floor next to the rolled-out toilet paper holding the stencil.

Elf in Freezer

Night 20
Elves Aren't Used to Texas Weather!

Put your elf in fridge or freezer. Put the provided note saying “I miss the North Pole! It’s too hot here!!” somewhere your child will see it.

Candy Cane Zipline.JPG

Night 21
Candy Cane Zip Line!

Attach one end of the provided twine to your tree (or another location), string it through your elf’s arms (so it can “hang on”) and attach the other end to the location of your choice (your zip line can go in a straight line or zigzag around). Place the provided candy canes in visible spots on both ends of the zip line so that it looks like your elf is zip lining from candy cane to candy cane.

Night 22
Binge Watching

Put your elf on the couch, in a chair, or somewhere else it can “see” the tv and put the tv remote in its arms. Include one of the provided notes and some popcorn or another snack if you would like.

Night 23
Taste Test!

Bake or buy some of your kid’s favorite cookies or other treats. You can put them where you would normally leave treats for Santa or leave them in the kitchen. Put your elf and the provided note saying, “Taste Testing cookies for Santa!” next to them.
